General objective of the position:

The SAMS grant Assistant is responsible for assisting in preparation and submitting of reports related to assigned grants, for communicating with field offices and for managing the day to day implementation of their assigned grant.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

· Communicate with responsible staff inside Syria related to grants projects when needed.

· Assist in the preparation of all reports to donor as required by grant agreements, including narrative, financial, and end of grant reports.

· Assist in the collection of all documentation from inside Syria for reporting purposes.

· Assist in the completion of weekly situational reports and complete incident reports to document attacks on facilities.

· Prepare all necessary documentation as requested by grants officer (purchase request, timesheets, purchase orders, etc.)

· Be familiar with donor regulations and reporting

· Assist with administrative tasks as requested by grants officer

· Other tasks as necessary



Mandatory Qualifications required

· University degree.

· Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a professional office setting, and some experience with program management or NGO work is desired.

· Ability to read, write, and speak in English and Arabic.

· Proficiency in Microsoft office mainly Excel and Word

Desirable Qualifications required

· Working experience in an NGO is an asset



· Excellent written and spoken in Arabic

· English fluent

· Capacities to analyze and judge

The salary will be defined regarding the SAMS Turkey Office salary scale on-going.
