Anjali Dhingra is a recent graduate in Development Studies from the Institute of development Studies, University of Sussex. Her dissertation research focused on the Indian Smart City Mission, where she attempted to analyse how the policy is further pushing people who are already on the environmental, economic, political, social and legal margins to the periphery with a special emphasis on poverty and inequality issues in Indian cities. Her research interests include urban poverty, urban redevelopment/ regeneration and gender. She previously worked as a communications assistant intern at the United Nations Development Programme, New Delhi, India office and plans on making a career, further in development or the public policy sector.
