From the COVID-19 emergency to future-proof Social Prosperity: Reflections from the Italian context

Paolo Venturi

Paolo Venturi is director of AICCON, the research centre promoted by the University of Bologna and by the Alliance of Italian Cooperatives. Economist, passionate about social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Since 2001, Director of The FundRaising School, the first Italian school on fundraising. Professor of "Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship" in numerous courses (master and professional qualification) of the University of Bologna and other universities and institutions (University of Pisa, Iuav Venezia and IlSole24ore). Author of numerous essays, studies and publications on social enterprise (co-editor of 2 national reports) and on "hybrid organisations". On this second topic he realised two books published by Il Mulino (2016) and by Egea (2017). Member of the working group for the Reform of the Third sector and the social enterprise and of the Guidelines on Social Impact. He participates as a member in numerous Think Tanks on issues of social innovation. In recent years, through studies and publications, he analysed the role of finance for the Italian Third sector (Lupetti publishing 2020), territorial Welfare (Este 2020), the Co-economy (Feltrinelli Foundation 2019) and the dimension of "whereabouts" to whom the volume "Dove" is published (Egea publishing 2019).

About Luca Tricarico

Luca Tricarico

Researcher at the Department of Business and Management of Luiss Guido Carli University, holding a post-doc fellowship on Social Innovation Based Entrepreneurial Models: assets and contextual conditions in urban regeneration and regional developments. PhD in Urban Planning, Design and Policy at the Politecnico di Milano, Luca has been PhD visiting fellow at the Department of Geography and Environment of the London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition, Luca has experienced research activities and consultancies for different institutions, foundations and research centres like Nesta Italia, University of Milano Bicocca, Milan Center for Food Law and Policy, Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation, IEFE/Bocconi University, Institute for Social Research (IRS, Milan), the European Research Center on Cooperatives and Social Enterprises and the Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation (Apulia Regional Government). His research interests include the analysis and evaluation of urban policies; the organisational and policy implications of social innovation, cultural and community-based entrepreneurship, social Impact of emergent technologies.
